The Blue Bedroom
My mother painted the trunk and wall cabinet herself.
The bedside table is hallmarked “Derek Childerhouse 2001.”
The handwoven rug is by Weevings in Vermont.
The bed is unmarked.
The Paneled Fireplace
In the yellow bedroom, paneled fireplace is surrounded with Delft tile, popular in the American Colonies. My mother did the panel and brick work herself. The Delft tiles are actually wallpaper.
