Scandinavia in the Age of Sail

BOOK SERIES and HISTORY BLOG

A historical fiction book series set in eighteenth-century Denmark-Norway, with a nod to Norse folklore and a thread of romance. Ten no-spice novels with temporary titles under construction.

A history blog on the early eighteenth century in Northern Europe, the Great Northern War, the sea trade, and the works of Just Knud Qvigstad.

Author

I learned to write decades ago at Wellesley College, where I wept over paper essays covered in red ink, studied French, and met women with myriad world views. Of Norwegian heritage, I have read widely on military and religious history prior to 1750, particularly in Scandinavia.

All writing on my blog and in my books is my own, with no AI generation. My history blog is a hobby and will always be ad-free.

I’ve included a photo tour of a historical miniature collection on my blog as a free and often-visited virtual museum. The pieces belong to a large extended family and are not for sale.
