Daughters of Denmark

SAILORS AND TAILORS, PERIL AND PROVIDENCE

A clean historical romance series set among the merchant class during the golden age of the sea trade in eighteenth century Denmark-Norway, with a nod to Norse myth.

Five novels with temporary titles under construction.

I earned a BA in French and computer science from Wellesley College, where I cut my literary teeth on tragic French novels and wrote a computer program that diagrammed sentences.

A former seamstress for a small ballet company, I discovered that I descend from a line of tailors in Norway and decided to write them a story.

My blog is a place to share my research on early Scandinavia, with entries on the Great Northern War and eighteenth century shipping ports in Europe. My blog also houses a photo tour of a family heirloom miniature collection, with “A Miniature Carl Larsson Christmas” the most viewed series.
